A Vision for Berlin

Over half of the population of former East Germany self-identifies as atheist. In Berlin, 60% of residents claim no religion. The city has been called “the atheist capital of Europe.”

Only 1.5% of Berliners attend any Protestant church. Perhaps 0.5% could be called “evangelical.” Neo-Nazism and the occult are on the rise, filling the void left by the declining Church.

Our dream is to see Berlin transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Berlin stands at the crossroads of Germany and Europe and is hugely influential in the arts, politics, education, and business.

We hope to participate in a Reformed, culturally German, multiethnic church planting movement that seeks the good of the city through:

• teaching, preaching, and discipleship in a new church plant
• mercy and outreach to families with children
• mentoring new German church planters and leaders
